With support from the Calgary Foundation, we met with Deaf and hard-of-hearing groups and formed an Advisory Committee to learn more about the communication barriers they face in Calgary. We understand that Deaf and hard-of-hearing people in Alberta face many communication challenges, especially because our province does not have strong accessibility laws.
