The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Literacy Program is designed for Deaf adults who are returning to learning.
These courses develop reading, writing, math, computer and other essential skills. These courses are for learners who
are not yet at high school learning levels. The program may be attended on a full-time or part-time basis, and is eligible for Alberta Works funding. Note: Alberta Works funding applications are due by the end of June!
An ASL Proficiency assessment is required for admission into the DHH Program.
Bow Valley College provides a variety of supports outside of the classroom to help you succeed, including learning
strategists, tutoring services, counselling, academic and career advising. The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Literacy Program
includes:
- Reading and Writing
- Math
- Computer Literacy
Start date is August 30, 2016.
