Alberta Network for Mental Health is working with the Canadian Association for Community Living (CACL) & DisAbled Women’s Network (DAWN) on a project called InFocus – Bringing People with Disabilities into the Picture. The project sets out to address two issues that are of concern for people with disabilities and Deaf people: 1) health and wellness, and 2) violence and abuse. An important part of the InFocus project is the issue of elder abuse.
Men with disabilities and Deaf men experience abuse at a much higher rate than men without disabilities. You are invited to attend a special discussion group for men only.
